Here is an idea, Chia seeds and oats; they are nutritious, with loads of health benefits that will give you the energy you need for the day. Chia seeds are also great for weight loss and will help you burn that stubborn belly fat.
Health benefits of oats and Chia seeds:
Oats: Oats are a good source of beta-glucan, a soluble fiber which has several health benefits. It regulates blood sugar levels, lowers bad cholesterol and also improves cardiovascular health, if consumed frequently. They are also high in proteins, fibers and minerals.
Chia seeds: Chia seeds are a great source of Omega 3 and Omega 6 and they also contain more calcium than milk. These tiny seed are also known to promote cardiovascular health and have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Chia seeds also have regenerative properties which makes them great for people with arthritis and high-performance athletes.
Oats and Chia seeds meal
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oatmeal.
- 500 ml of water.
- 2 tsp. vanilla.
- 1 tsp. cinnamon powder.
- 2 tbsp. honey.
- 1 pinch of sea salt.
- 4 tbsp. chia seeds.
Preparation
Add the water, cinnamon and vanilla in a pot and bring it to boil. Once it starts to simmer reduce it to low heat and add your oats. Let it to simmer for 5 minutes and set it aside. Cover it and let it sit for 5 minutes to soak. Add the honey and salt then mix it all well. Pour it in a bowl while it’s still hot and add the chia seeds. Mix everything together and enjoy your breakfast. You could add your favorite berries o banana, but it great either ways.
