Skipping those nutrient dense smoothies because it’s cold outside? How about try serving them hot! It simple really, just toss your favorite combination of warm anti inflammatory spices, veggies, seeds and if you like sweet potatoes like me; toss one in straight from the oven. Sounds like something you want to try, great; here is what you will need;
Ingredients
3 cups Almond milk
½ inch piece of fresh turmeric
½ inch piece of ginger
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Sweet potato (1/2 or medium size)
2 tablespoon ground flaxseeds
Pink of Himalayan salt
Honey (Optional)
Preparation
Heat up your milk in a saucepan over medium low. Bring to a boil and add all your spices (1st 3 above) and let it simmer for 4 minutes.
Add sweet potatoes and your warm spice mixture to a blender, with all the remaining ingredients.
Blend carefully, allowing space for the heat to escape, until smooth and creamy. Serve in a bowl and add your favorite berries and honey.
