Covid-19 forced many of us to change a lot about our habits/routines, and some of these changes will stay with us for many years. The closing of restaurants, the increased time spent at home and the difficulty in getting hold of some ingredients has changed many things previously taken for granted.
We thought we should maybe highlight super foods that helped boost our immunity and kept us healthy through the pandemic.
Black seed oil
This one was a winner. And you will agree with me, Black seed oil is a star when it comes to boosting immunity. It is also great at reducing inflammation, and fighting infections.
Moringa leaf Powder
Moringa is packed with antioxidants, substances that can protect cells from damage and may boost your immune system.
Honey
We all love honey. But did you know it’s great at boosting Immunity? Honey contains phytonutrients which are responsible for its antioxidant properties, as well as its antibacterial and antifungal power – which have immune-boosting and anticancer benefits
Chia Seeds
Despite their small size, chia seeds are full of important nutrients. They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. And they also keep you fuller for longer. Just what we needed, and still do.
We would love to hear from you, what were your go to super foods? And don’t forget to check our blog for recipes.
